He has worked for most of the large hearing aid dispensing companies for prolonged spells in management, training and mentoring roles.
He is passionate about improving patients’ quality of life he is relishing bringing that level of expertise to Just Ears.

Professional Profile
Nicci qualified as a nurse in Bath in 1995 and moved to Chichester a few years later to take a surgical job at St Richards Hospital in Chichester.

She then progressed into management in the private sector and has been the Outpatient sister at
both The Nuffield Hospital in Chichester and The Spire Hospital in Portsmouth before making a
a career change in November 2018 to become a practice nurse in Horndean, Hampshire.

Nicci trained as a Microsuction Practitioner through Just Ears Training Academy and
passed both her practical and theoretical qualification in 2018.

Alan qualified as a paediatric nurse in 2000. He worked with children in a variety of clinical settings before his return to university to study paramedic science in 2008.

Having spent some time working as a paramedic in the pre-hospital and hospital environments, he felt particularly suited to primary care where he has been working for the past 4 years. During this time he has been especially interested in ear-related problems and has often felt helpless trying to manage ear problems in primary care.

Having recommended Just Ears to patients over this period he wanted to be the one providing the care the patients needed so, bringing his 26 years of healthcare experience, Alan joined the Just Ears family in 2023. ​

Emma has worked as a nursing assistant extensively for the NHS for the past 25 Years.
Emma brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to the role of microsuction practitioner having worked for some time, both for the NHS and in private practice performing microsuction . Emma has passed the Just Ears rigorous observation and training clinics with flying Colours .ice

Professional Profile
Mr Nilssen completed his undergraduate training at the University of Cape Town in 1987. He has completed ENT training programmes both in South Africa in 1997 and the UK in 2000 with a special interest in Rhinology. He was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon in Portsmouth in September 2000.

Professional Profile
Sandra qualified in 1985 and worked at Queen Alexandra Hospital on the General Surgery Ward before progressing to the ENT Ward. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner and then later as a Health Care Assistant within a GP surgery performing microsuction and general nursing and health care duties.

Sandra has retired from the NHS and works solely for Just Ears as our Lead Nurse in the Emsworth Clinic where she performs Ear Microsuction and makes sure the clinic runs smoothly.
