Dr Caroline Houlihan Burne

Dr Caroline Houlihan-Burne is a Clinical Hypnotherapist working at London Digestive Health. Her clinical interests are anxiety, panic attacks, sleep problems, irritable bowel syndrome, confidence and low self-esteem, stress, depression, fears and phobias, migraine, pain management, tinnitus, menopausal symptoms, infertility, pregnancy and labour, breaking habits e.g. smoking, weight loss, trichotillomania.

Dr Houlihan-Burne's background is in clincial medicine having worked as a GP for 20 years. She graduated from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, in Paddington in 1994 and then completed General Practice training based at St Marys Hospital. She worked as a GP in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire both for the NHS and in the private sector. In 2012 she completed a Medical Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and found hypnotherapy to be a useful treatment option for her patients. Whilst always advocating conventional medicine first and foremost, she now focusses purely on clinical hypnotherapy to treat a wide variety of physical and psychological conditions.

Mr Ashish Sinha

Mr Sinha is a qualified laparoscopic Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon and an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, London. He graduated in medicine in 2004 from the University of Nottingham and has been on the specialist register for General Surgery since 2016. He trained in surgery in the London south-east Thames rotation and has completed a post-CCT fellowship at the world-renowned St Mark's Hospital, prior to his consultant appointment with this trust.

His research interests include surgical oncology, inherited bowel cancer syndromes, polyposis, emergency general surgery, and laparoscopic surgery. His research fellowship with the Polyposis Registry at St Mark's Hospital lead to him being awarded an MD (Research) from Imperial College, London. Mr Sinha offers the full range of treatment for both emergency and elective Colorectal and General Surgical conditions.

Mr Edward Westcott

Mr Edward Westcott is a Consultant General Surgeon, with sub-specialties in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and colorectal cancer. His NHS base was Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and currently, he sees patients privately, including at The London Digestive Centre.

Mr Westcott was appointed a consultant in 2012 and his main areas of practice are colorectal cancer, IBD, hidradenitis supurativa of the groin and perineum, proctology including fistula and hernia surgery. He performs both laparoscopic and open surgery. He studied at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School and undertook surgical training at five of London’s main teaching hospitals. He attained an MD based on his research into the pathogenesis of Crohn’s Disease at St Mark’s Hospital.

He graduated from Imperial College and completed his Specialist ENT training in London, where he worked at several prestigious hospitals, including The Royal National Throat, Nose, and Ear, Great Ormond Street, and Charing Cross Hospitals. Mr Ferguson furthered his expertise by winning a Royal College of Surgeons post-CCT fellowship in Rhinology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where he gained extensive experience in advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, anterior skull base surgery, and complex nasal reconstructions. He also visited several internationally renowned centers to continue his education in this field.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Ferguson completed a PhD in Molecular Oncology at Barts Cancer Institute, demonstrating his passion for research in the field of oncology. He continues to actively participate in both clinical and research studies, with a particular focus on assessing outcome measures in patients undergoing rhinological and facial plastic procedures. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and 2 book chapters, and has given over 20 international or national presentations, winning numerous prizes for his work. Overall, Mr Ferguson's extensive training and experience make him a highly respected and sought-after specialist in Rhinology, sinus surgery, and Rhinoplasty.

Dr. Vinay Sehgal

Dr Vinay Sehgal is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist at University College London Hospital. Dr Sehgal completed his specialist training in Gastroenterology in the prestigious North East London rotation, during which time he completed his PhD at University College London where he developed a novel tumour model of oesophageal cancer used in crucial mechanistic, imaging and pre-clinical studies. Dr Sehgal has been awarded numerous awards for his cutting edge and landmark research in this field. Dr Sehgal has a specialist interest in the early detection and treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). Dr Sehgal offers a wide range of minimally invasive endoscopic treatments for GORD including the STRETTA procedure. Dr Sehgal is also only one of two specialists in the UK who offer endoscopic hiatus hernia repair using the trans-oral incisionless fundoplication (TIF) procedure as minimally invasive alterative to surgery with excellent outcomes to date.

Dr Sehgal also has a super-specialist interest in pre-cancerous conditions of the digestive tract including Barrett's Oesophagus and Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Dr Sehgal has helped pioneer and is senior co-author of numerous landmark studies for treatments of early oesophageal cancer including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), radiofrequency ablation (RFA).

Dr. Anet Soubieres

Dr Anet Soubieres, a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, has a broad range of interests and expertise in the field of gastroenterology. Her specialties include managing upper gastrointestinal diseases such as reflux, dyspepsia, and swallowing difficulties, as well as investigating changes in bowel habits and small bowel pathology. Dr Soubieres is experienced in performing various endoscopic procedures such as diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and video capsule endoscopy.

Dr Soubieres received her undergraduate education from Imperial College London and underwent Gastroenterology training within the North West London Deanery. She also completed an MD in lower gastrointestinal disease at St. George's University during her specialist gastroenterology training. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Soubieres has a keen interest in medical education, particularly in endoscopy training. She serves as the Unit Training Lead within her department at Imperial, helping to improve the quality of care provided by future generations of medical professionals.

Dr Philip Woodland is a consultant gastroenterologist and honorary senior lecturer at the Royal London Hospital, a prestigious London teaching hospital. Dr Woodland's private gastroenterology practice is at the Princess Grace Hospital, which is located in close proximity to London's leading medical district around Harley Street. Dr Woodland received his medical degree from University College London Hospital and went on to complete his PhD in gastro-oesophageal reflux disease at Queen Mary University, London.

Dr Sean Preston is Medical Director at The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK. He graduated from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, Paddington in 1995. The majority of his postgraduate training was centred at Barts and the London NHS Trust (a major London Teaching Hospital), in addition to a year spent in Sydney as an Advanced Endoscopy Fellow, prior to his appointment as a Consultant at Barts in 2006. His clinical practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of gastro oesophageal reflux disease (heartburn), Barrett's oesophagus, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, diarrhoea, constipation, bloating, in addition to diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy of the oesophagus, stomach and colon. He has a keen interest in gut health and gastrointestinal microbiota (bacteria, viruses and fungi) and uses both diet, pre and probiotics in the achievement and maintenance of optimal conditions within the bowel. Clinical consultations are structured to allow patients sufficient time to explain all their symptoms and to fully understand for the cause of their concerns.

His PhD, undertaken at Cancer Research UK, London, outlined the role of stem cells in gastrointestinal cancers and led to several significant publications in the field. He is Director of Endoscopy at Barts Health and his endoscopic expertise relates to gastroscopy, colonoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound and he is an accredited colonoscopist for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (requiring a rigorous accreditation process and continual audit of key performance indicators). He has written numerous key papers and book chapters on gastrointestinal cancer and continues his research in Barrett's oesophagus.

Mr Alastair Windsor

Mr Alastair Windsor

Alastair Windsor trained at St Mary’s Hospital in London. Having spent three years in research at the Medical College of Virginia, USA, he returned as Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Surgeon to the Academic Surgical Unit at St James’ University Hospital, Leeds. He has now moved to join the staff as Consultant Surgeon to University College Hospital London, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University College London.

He is considered a leader in the field of colorectal surgery and has a national and international reputation for his clinical practice. He has a particular focus and expertise in inflammatory bowel disease as well as managing complex abdominal wall hernias. He also maintains a busy clinical practice in the broader aspects of colorectal surgery including minimal access surgery or key hole surgery, endoscopy, colorectal cancer, diverticular disease and proctology (haemorrhoids, fistula, fissure etc). Mr Windsor was included in the Daily Mail's list of top doctors, for his expertise in inflammatory bowel disease. He was also included in Tatler's list of best private doctors.

Dr Richard Marley

Dr Richard Marley

Dr. Richard Marley is a Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist who works at the Princess Grace Hospital and is part of the London Digestive Centre and the Physicians' Clinic. Dr. Marley is highly specialised in general gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as a performing colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and endoscopy.

Dr. Marley graduated from the University of Oxford with a BSc in Medicine and Surgery, before going on to complete his postgraduate training at the Royal Free Hospital and the Hammersmith Hospital. During his training, he undertook a research degree focusing on the hemodynamic consequences of cirrhosis, resulting in him being awarded a Ph.D. for his work. He was later appointed as a Consultant in 2001 at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Australia.

Mr Danilo Miskovic

Mr. Miskovic is a colorectal surgeon. He trained in Switzerland and the UK. His specialist interest is minimally-invasive, particularly robotic surgery for cancer and other diseases of the bowel, including inflammatory bowel disease and diverticulitis. Mr. Miskovic has received specialist training in some of the best colorectal units in the country, honing his skill and expertise at every opportunity. He is currently working as a consultant at St Mark's Hospital, a worldwide unique specialist hospital for the treatment of bowel disease. In addition to his busy practice, Mr. Miskovic is highly active in the field of research and is continuously contributing to current research. He is also a trainer for minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, nationally and internationally.

Mr. Danilo Miskovic is part of the Colorectal & Robotic Surgery Centre, part of HCA Healthcare UK; working in partnership with Mr Charles Evans to deliver a bespoke colorectal and robotic surgical service. The centre is based at The Wellington Hospital and at the Platinum Medical Centre.

Professor Giuseppe Kito Fusai

Professor Giuseppe Kito Fusai

Professor Giuseppe Kito Fusai is a Consultant Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgeon in the Liver Units at the Royal Free Hospital and at The Wellington Hospital and is Professor of Surgery at University College London (UCL). After qualifying at the University of Milan in 1987 and obtaining a Master of Surgery from the University of Parma in 1992, he moved to the UK in 1995 and in 1996 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

He specialised in HPB surgery and Liver Transplant and since 1999 has worked in several centres of excellence including King’s College Hospital in London and Nagoya University Hospital in Japan. Professor Fusai’s primary clinical and academic interest is in pancreatic cancer, liver metastases and cholangiocarcinoma and in the modalities to treat patients with advanced disease including vascular reconstruction.

He is highly trained in Hepato-pancreato-biliary, general and laparoscopic surgery including the treatment of benign conditions such as gallstones and pancreatitis, He has published over 100 peer-reviewed publications and he is a member of various societies and committees, including the European Association of HPB surgery (E-AHPBA), the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), the European Surgical Association (ESA) and the International Study Group for Pancreatic Surgery (ISGPS). He is the President of the Italian Medical Society of Great Britain (IMSoGB) and in 2010 he founded Fiorina, a charitable fund for the treatment of pancreatic cancer which supports several clinical and research projects.
