Emily graduated from the University College Dublin in 2004. After initial training in hospital medicine, including Endocrinology and Elderly Care, and a move to England, she qualified as a GP in 2012. During her GP training, she developed an interest in Mental Health and Women’s Health, completing the Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH) and the Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (DRCOG). She is trained in the fitting and removal of contraceptive implants. She has significant experience in General Practice, having worked in local NHS practices for over 10 years. Recently, she opened a private medical clinic in Bournemouth with her husband and local colleagues.
Emily is passionate about providing holistic care to patients. She places significant importance on listening to the individual patient and working together to address concerns. She values continuity of care very highly. She has seen the impact of menopause on her patients and the difference a personalised consultation and treatment plan can make to quality of life. This inspired her to pursue further training in menopause care.
Emily lives in Bournemouth with her husband and three children. In her spare time she enjoys singing in a local choir and keeping active with racquetball, the gym and pilates.

Jenny graduated from Imperial College London in 2005. She initially started her career in hospital medicine and gained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians. She then moved into general practice, where she felt better placed to provide continuity and individualised care to her patients. Her experience of working in General Practice, for over 10 years, has enabled her to take the role of appraising other GPs, offering them guidance and support.
Throughout her years in General Practice, she has developed an interest in Women’s health issues and gained her Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health. Her experience in treating women living with the menopause over the years has made her increasingly aware of the impact it can have on health, personal relationships, and work. She recognises that every patient’s experience is different, which is why she values the importance of listening and working together with the patient to develop an individualised care plan. Jenny finds it extremely rewarding seeing her patients empowered to make informed decisions based on the best available evidence.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, open water swimming and spending time outdoors with her husband and three children.

Raquel graduated from The University of Manchester in 2005 and completed her foundation training there. Raquel and her husband subsequently spent 3 years in Christchurch, New Zealand where Raquel worked initially in the hospital followed by a 24-hour GP Centre. Raquel returned to the UK in 2010 to complete her GP training and now works as a GP in Dorset. In addition to her clinical work, Raquel works alongside 2 other GPs as one of the Named Safeguarding GPs for adults and children in Dorset.
Through her GP work, her interest in women’s health and the menopause developed. She is passionate about improving care for women and furthering her understanding of the perimenopause and menopause, and the impact it can have on women. She has completed Louise Newson’s Confidence in Menopause course and continues to take on opportunities to further her knowledge in this area. Raquel is excited to be joining the Newson Health team and looks forward to supporting and advocating for women on their menopause journey.
Raquel lives in Dorset with her husband, 3 children, and Cavapoo puppy. In her spare time, she loves to do cold water swimming in the sea, walking their dog along the beach, and road biking.
