Prior to this he had more than 2 years of experience at Post-Fellowship Registrar level in General Surgery.
He then took on the role as the Senior House Officer at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield in 1993, assessing emergency hand and facial injuries and carrying out most procedures on his own.
And now working at the Northern General Hospital, he has two main surgical commitments; dealing with skin malignancies both in their initial stages and when they have spread to the regional nodes and treating hand trauma in a very busy hand surgery unit with three committed hand consultant surgeons.
Mr David Dujon graduated with Honours in Medicine and Therapeutics from the University of the West Indies in 1986. Following general surgical training, he was awarded a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons Of Edinburgh in 1991.
Specialist training in Plastic Surgery was undertaken in the units at Plymouth, Sheffield and Nottingham leading to the completion of the Fellowship examination in 1996. This was followed by a short overseas Fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery and Breast Reconstruction.
On returning to the UK he expanded his special interest in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery and facial rejuvenation procedures. He is currently Medical Director at the sk:n Clinic in Sheffield.
Dr King is a consultant dermatologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Sheffield Children’s Hospital. He has an 80% clinical and 20% medical education job plan and teaches medical students from the University of Sheffield.
Dr King has a special interest in medical education, has a Master’s degree in medical education from the University of Nottingham, and is part of the British Association of Dermatologist’s undergraduate workstream.
Dr King’s NHS work includes a mix of clinics seeing inflammatory skin conditions and skin cancer work. Dr King has a surgical list per week, one paediatric dermatology clinic per week at Sheffield Children’s hospital and is part of the acute dermatology on call team in Sheffield.
